The
Timber Hill Reservable Area at Rentschler Forest Preserve is a 57-acre camping
facility dedicated solely to organized youth groups. Located in beautiful
Butler County Ohio, Timber Hill boasts open fields, woodlands, hiking trails
and a multitude of camping amenities perfect for all age groups.
Campers at Timber
Hill enjoy exploring the creek, a portion of the historic Miami-Erie Canal, and
a butterfly garden. In addition you will find a brand new
outdoor amphitheatre ready for skits, plays and special ceremonies. A
large shelter area with picnic tables and a
fire circle is perfect for a wide variety of day and evening programs.
New to the Timber
Hill Reservable Area is a trail that connects the campground with the
Rentschler Forest Preserve. Campers staying at Timber Hill now have easy access
to the many miles of hiking trails found on the Preserve.
The Timber Hill
Reservable Area offers a wide variety of camping options. The
main lodge contains bunk beds, a kitchen, fireplace, outdoor fire
circle, and a restroom with showers. Other camping areas include platform
tents, handicapped accessible cabins, primitive camping, and elevated
tree houses. All camping areas have access to a fire circle, water, and
latrines. Most have access to either an open or enclosed shelter and
electricity.
The Timber Hill Reservable Area at Rentschler Forest Preserve is available by
